This calling is based upon our core belief.
Love the Lord your God with your passion, prayer, intelligence and energy – and love others as you love yourself’.
Mark 12: 28-31
Central is an inclusive Methodist Church that welcomes everyone and embraces diversity. We are committed to worship, challenging the status quo, and working together to transform the world through the power of love and justice. As a forward-thinking community, Central strives to be a space for positive change, within ourselves, our community, and our Methodist tradition. Our faith encourages us to use our resources, time, space, and talents, to live out the values of compassion, equity, and service in both worship and action.
At Central, our mission is rooted in a call to deepen our faith through meaningful worship and thought-provoking study. We aim to foster an inclusive and engaged community that embraces and cares for all, and to transform the world through active service, supporting just causes, and principled leadership.
Central’s vision is to have an impact in the community, touching lives both locally and globally. We seek to continually grow and build our resources, responding to the call to be a catalyst for change, possibility, and hope in the world.
Our worship is designed to be welcoming to all people, offering spiritual guidance, acceptance, and inspiration. At Central, we create a space where everyone can share their stories, listen for God’s wisdom, and experience uplifting worship. We are committed to broadening our worship experience by embracing the diverse gifts, talents, and creativity of our community.
We strive to create an open and happy environment that embraces everyone, welcoming people from all walks of life. Our goal is to connect with those not currently attending church by offering community events and creative worship experiences that meet people where they are. Through mission-driven initiatives, we aim to serve both our local neighbourhood and the global community, fostering connections that transcend traditional boundaries.
We are committed to reaching individuals who are spiritually curious, regardless of their background or beliefs, and to nurturing the growth of our members and regular attendees. By supporting them in deepening their faith and encouraging active participation, we hope to build a vibrant and connected community that reflects our shared values of service, inclusion, and love.
