We formed the Brighouse Central Music Academy (BCMA) to provide a meeting place, professional tuition and fun for anyone in our local community who shares our love for all types of music. So, whether you are a child or child-at-heart, BCMA has something for you!

We offer teaching for all ages and abilities across just about all instruments and genres: from classical to jazz and everything in-between. Kids are especially welcome to join in and learn, and we have a range of rehearsal spaces and facilities to cater from orchestras to solo artists.

Please visit the BCMA website for further information.

Church Choir

Our congregation enjoys a four-part harmony choir led by a number of talented musical directors that contributes to worship each Sunday morning and evening by singing introits, anthems and oratorios. This dedicated team of singers practice on Friday evenings also hold special performances throughout the year including Handel’s Messiah in December.

Worship Band

Our worship band are often asked to be involved in Sunday morning worship. Made up of musicians and singers, members frequently try out newer worship songs offering a lively alternative to more traditional church music. Band members practice on most Saturday mornings, learning contemporary songs to introduce to our weekly worship.

Our choir and worship band are keen to welcome regular and occasional singers as well as new band members. Please contact Central’s Musical Director, Carolyn Stafford ( for further information.
