Our Worship Centre is a beautiful space for making music, and those of us working on The Brig Build are keen to keep a focus on our Central building, even in these difficult times.
In 2021, we will be widening the use of our building and catering for a wide range of musical tastes across Brighouse. Starting in the spring, we plan to host a series of concerts of popular and classical music, featuring a quintet of professional voices drawn from the Royal Northern College of Music and elsewhere.
For now, we would welcome your support as a Founding Subscriber to our programme. After what has been an incredibly tough time for the self-employed in arts and music, we want to make sure that our professional musicians are supported financially to continue making great music.
Remaining compliant with any COVID-19 restrictions throughout, we hope not only to bring live performances to Central but also to record those performances for screening at Central and broadcasting pre-recorded on YouTube and other social media channels. For friends unable to leave their home or access social media, we also hope to provide CDs. After all, we want everyone to enjoy uplifting music from a fantastic building.
If you’d like to become a Founding Subscriber and help us to launch our concert series, please contribute £100 to our Founder Subscriber fund. The funds will be held in the Church account, all properly accounted for. Please note, that this subscription will not provide free concert tickets over time, but it does enable the music series to move forward.
In time, we expect to be able to shape other music series by working with our Founding Subscriber group. All throughout, our Founding Subscribers will be able to have fun together and attend final rehearsals when possible. If you feel able to become a Subscriber and would like to know more, we can arrange payment and share our plans with you. All ideas are of course welcome.
Alternatively, email Val Clarkson, our Church Treasurer, at email@example.com to arrange payment, and your support will be acknowledged in confidence.
