Coronavirus Statement

Brighouse Central’s ongoing Covid 19 response.

Following the Government announcement on Monday 21st February 2022 that all Covid restrictions will be removed on the 26th February, the trustees asked that the risk assessment be revised to take account of what ‘living with covid’ means for us as a church.
Despite the removal of virtually all restrictions and acting both in accord with the guidance from Government and the task force for places of worship we have decided that, in the short term, we will continue to rely on common sense and the desire of most to stay safe.
Our approach remains to keep our congregation and all our other building users safe.

RISK AMELIORATION
As a church we feel that we still need to be careful in how we ameliorate the restrictions and respond to the government’s continued good practice guidance.
To this end we encourage all building users to continue to follow aspects of our Covid procedures: –

  1. Hand sanitising at points of entry and exit.
  2. Retain wearing of masks when moving about the building.
  3. Continue to respect the principle of those who wish to maintain social distancing so that the more vulnerable amongst us can feel safe.
