We understand that stepping into a new church for the first time can feel a little daunting.
You may not know anyone, or you may simply be unsure about what will happen.
At Central, there’s no need to worry about knowing what to do.
Our friendly stewards will greet you at the door with a warm “good morning”
and help if you have any questions.
No special dress code or previous church experience needed.
Choose wherever you feel most comfortable.
Any offering during the service is entirely voluntary.
Anywhere you like.
There are no reserved places and you’re free to sit wherever
you feel most comfortable.
You can sit downstairs, choose a seat near the front if you’d
like to be closer to the worship band, or sit in the balcony
for a different view of the church.
Our worship includes a mixture of
contemporary songs and traditional hymns.
Music might be accompanied by electric guitars and drums,
the piano, or the wonderful sound of our pipe organ.
There will usually be Bible readings, prayers and a sermon.
The minister or preacher will explore the Christian faith and
what it can mean for our lives today, as well as marking
important occasions in the Christian year such as Christmas
and Easter.
Once a month we celebrate Holy Communion,
sharing bread and wine as we remember Jesus’ love and self-giving.

There is an opportunity during the service to make an offering
towards the work of the church and those in need, but
giving is entirely voluntary.
As a visitor, please don’t feel under any obligation to contribute.
Please don’t feel you need to rush away.
After the service, tea and coffee are served in an area
we call ‘The Link’. Everyone is invited, and it’s a good
opportunity to chat and get to know people.
If it’s your first visit, just come along. Our stewards will
be there to welcome you and help with anything you need.
